CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL CITY PARK SPLASH PAD SYSTEM O & M SERVICES BID #2023-09 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk, City of Cape Canaveral, at City Hall, 100 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida 32920 until 2:00 P.M. on June 20, 2024. Any bids received after the above time will not be accepted under any circumstances. Any uncertainty regarding the time a bid is received will be resolved against the Bidder. Bid opening will be promptly at 2:05 P.M. on June 20, 2024, in the first- floor conference room at City Hall, Cape Canaveral, Florida, at which time all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: All work for the project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications provided by the City and the proposed operation and maintenance will be awarded and, if award is made, under one contracted Agreement. Bids shall be submitted for the daily operation and management, maintenance & repair call outs, general maintenance, general or emergency troubleshooting and repair of Splash Pad System and all associated components. The proposed scope of work consists of the maintenance of the Splash Pad at Canaveral City Park. Brief addenda may be issued between seventy-two (72) hours and twenty-four (24) hours before Bid time by e-mail or facsimile to all holders of Bidding Documents. A request including the name, address, telephone number and e-mail address of the bidder shall be required to obtain a set of Bidding Documents. NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Splash Pad at Canaveral City Park located at 7920 Orange Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida 32920 on May 30, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the project location prior to submitting a Bid. SPECIFIC CRITERIA: The Contractor performing this service shall have a strong background in providing a positive working relationship with Cities having a Council/City Manager type government and a history, knowledge and experience of performing commercial pool/spa/splash pad maintenance within the state of Florida, as well as the knowledge of keeping records and logs as required by the Florida Health Department. Reviewing and ranking of the firm’s bid will be by City of Cape Canaveral Staff and the City’s consultant. There will not be a need for any presentation by firms. The final selection will be presented to the City Council. The City reserves the right to withdraw this Request for Bid or any portion at any time to protect its best interests. Bids must be received no later than the time set forth herein. The Owner will not be responsible for any lost or late arriving bids sent via U.S. Postal Service or other delivery services. The Owner reserves the right to accept any or all additive or deductive alternatives at its sole discretion subsequent to award of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to waive technicalities or irregularities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid which is in the best interest of the City, in the sole and absolute discretion of the City.
