Candler County, Georgia, through its Board of Commissioners, is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase and delivery of one (1) new EMS Supervisor Response Vehicle, also referred to as a Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) or Fly-Car. The vehicle will serve emergency response functions and must be fully equipped and ready for use upon delivery. Bids must be submitted in writing, sealed, and clearly marked, and delivered to the office of the County Administrator no later than 12:00 PM on August 15, 2025. Bids must include itemized pricing for both the vehicle and any installed equipment as outlined in the bid specification sheet, which is available at the Board of Commissioners Office or by request via email at
[email protected]. All pricing must be FOB Destination, with delivery to Candler County. A timeline for delivery must be included with each proposal. Vehicles must be delivered fully operational and ready for immediate use. Bids that fail to address all required specifications may be considered incomplete and rejected. Bidders are responsible for ensuring timely delivery of their submissions; late bids will not be considered, and reliance on mail or delivery services is at the bidder¿s own risk. Proposals must remain valid for a minimum of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date. The minimum vehicle specifications call for a 2025 or newer 4x4 full-size SUV specialty vehicle, such as a Ford Expedition/MAX SSV, Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban, or a comparable model. Bidders are encouraged to submit options for both standard and extended wheelbase models. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to accept the proposal that best serves the interests of the County, in compliance with applicable Georgia laws.
