The Work under this Project consists of the following: This project consists of constructing a one-story building addition totaling approximately 6,500 S.F., at side of the existing Jamestown High School Cafeteria, within an existing outdoor courtyard. Limited exterior and interior alterations of the existing building are also included. Work includes clearing and demolition at the existing courtyard, preparation of building pad, grading and drainage, utility work, and restoration of the site. New construction includes a steel-framed, brick and EIFS-clad structure with windows and doors, HVAC and electrical work. The project includes two (2) additives, one for new bathrooms within the existing building, and a second option for an operable partition to subdivide the Addition internally. The Specifications and Drawings prepared by Hudson + Associates Architects, PLLC are dated December 20, 2023. The civil drawings prepared by the Timmons Group are dated March 14, 2024. There are two additive items included in the scope of work: Additive Item #1 - New Bathrooms: Construct two (2) new bathrooms within the existing school. It includes floor demolition, subgrade and above-grade plumbing, plumbing fixtures and piping, interior masonry partitions, floor patching, floor and wall finishes, toilet partitions and specialties, suspended ceiling, electrical power and lighting, and new mechanical exhaust. Additive Item #2 – Operable Partition Includes provision of an interior, manually operable partition that divides the new Addition into two spaces, including structural supports, upper wall and soffit construction, and enclosure walls where the partition system stacks. Services provided by the contractor shall include, but not be limited to the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, tools, traffic control, testing, transportation, and all other miscellaneous appurtenances and work necessary to complete the project in accordance with the Contract Documents, Drawings and Specifications.
