The CDSS, CCLD proposes addressing the technical limitations of the current Guardian background check system and the related manual processes, by implementing a new solution called the Care Provider Management System (CPMS). CPMS will allow CDSS to better align with California¿s licensing laws and practices, which require customization beyond what is offered by the current solution in place. The main purpose of this RFI is to solicit information and best practices from the vendor community to assist CDSS in determining what is currently available in the marketplace based on the proposed CPMS objectives and requirements as described herein, and to approximate the cost ($) that may be needed for procurement. Interested vendors are invited to describe potential products, solutions, and to suggest strategies to assist the CDSS in determining if a Platform-Based Framework, Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS), Modified Off the Shelf (MOTS), or custom solution would best address the required functions described in this RFI. Multiple products or solutions may be described in the RFI response. Collective information provided by the vendor community may be used to develop alternatives for consideration and may be used to estimate costs related to system acquisition for a proposed solution. The CDSS understands that data provided in this RFI is not sufficient to enable detailed analysis and costing by vendors. Please provide your best advice based on your experience with other organizations and initiatives of this kind. Responses to this RFI should adhere to the questions listed in the attachments.
