TOWN OF WOLCOTT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS DEMOLITION AND SITE STABILIZATION OF FLOOD DAMAGED RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY AT 3670 NORTH WOLCOTT ROAD, WOLCOTT, VT 05680 Notice The Town of Wolcott (owners) is requesting proposals from qualified contractors for demolition and site stabilization of flood-damaged property at 3670 North Wolcott Road, Wolcott, VT 05680 The Town of Wolcott is participating in the Flood Resilient Communities Fund which provides funding to towns to purchase and demolish properties damaged in natural disasters. This is a state funded program administered by the State of Vermont, Department of Emergency Management. Contractors will provide their competitive bid to demolish and remove all improvements, including but not limited to, septic systems, water wells/springs, buildings, foundations, electrical and phone lines, pavement, fuel tanks, outside/inside debris and household hazardous materials. Contractors are responsible for returning the project site to a smooth, graded, stabilized and vegetated condition that is in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local statutes and regulations. Bidding Documents Prospective bidders may obtain the Bidding Documents from the Town of Wolcott at 28 Railroad Street, Wolcott, VT or on their website at Wolcottvt.org. The Owner will not be responsible for full or partial sets of bidding documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Town of Wolcott. Pre-bid Conference A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 3670 North Wolcott Road, Wolcott, VT on Tuesday, July 1st at 9:00 am. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. Proposals for demolition and site stabilization will be received at the Wolcott Town Offices located at 28 Railroad Street or PO Box 100, Wolcott, VT 05680, by sealed bids only, until Monday, July 7th at 4:00 pm. [email protected]. Proposals received will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Wolcott Town Office, Tuesday July 8th at 10:00 am. A tabulation of the Bids will be made available to Bidders after the opening of proposals. Demolition Completion Demolition and site stabilization must be completed 90 days after Notice to Proceed. Evaluation of Bids & Award of Contractors The winning bidder will be selected at the sole judgment of the Town of Wolcott Selectboard or designee, based on technical expertise and experience, cost, project schedule, and completeness of proposal. Applications from minority and local businesses are encouraged. The Town of Wolcott reserves the right to select the most qualified proposal and may not necessarily select the lowest bid if it best serves the Town’s interest.
