[email protected] Sealed Bids will be received until 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 16th 2024, at One Exchange Plaza, Suite 620, Conference Room 1, Raleigh, NC 27601, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the construction of the E.M. Johnson Water Treatment Plant N/S Clarifier Improvements project. After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner/City Council reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the Bid Form for the performance of the Contract. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 2nd 2024 at the North/South Clarifiers on site at the E.M. Johnson Water Treatment Plant, 10301 Falls of the Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27614. Requirements for pre-bid submittals of an “or-equal” are required within 10 days of the issuance of the Advertisement for Bids and in accordance with Section 00200, Instructions to Bidders. The Project consists generally of the following major items: · Installation of inclined settling plates in the North and South Clarifiers. · Installation of sludge collection equipment and associated sludge piping in both the North and South Clarifiers. · All supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, incidentals and related items required for construction of the project as shown in the plans and included in the specifications. · Installation of two submersible pumps and associated appurtenances, discharge piping, and modifications as shown in the plans and included in the specifications.
