Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Fife at City Hall up to the hour of 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024, for the City of Fife FIRWOOD GYM AND FIRE STATION DEMOLITION and will then be opened and read publicly. City Hall is located at 5411 23rd Street East Fife, Washington. Proposals received after 10:00 a.m. on May 16, 2024, will not be considered. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site located at 4312 Freeman Road East, Fife, WA, at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. All Request for Information will be due by Friday, May 3, 2024, to be answered in a published addendum. Work to be included in this Project is as follows: Demolition of an approx. 7,200 sq. ft. gymnasium, 500 sq. ft. storage building, and 2,013 sq. ft. fire station including removal and proper disposal of asbestos materials, removal and proper disposal of demolition materials, rough finish grading, temporary construction entrance, and other related work. Estimated Bid Range: $450,000 to $500,000 plus sales tax. All work shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents, City of Fife Standards, and WSDOT 2023 Standard Specifications. Pierce County prevailing wage requirements are in effect.
