SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy.  As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions.

Amendment 01 to RFP 345266:

The following Addendum is being issued for the subject Request for Quotation: 345266 Glovebox

Previous Technical Criteria is being replaced by its entirety. NEW TECHNICAL CRITERIA:

1. 3 chamber glove boxes linked with T shaped with antechambers. Access external and in between chambers. Hinged covers.  2 T antechambers total. Manual valve control. End left and right chambers will have mini antechambers with hinged covers. Manual 3 way valve. See drawing Side Left and right ) chambers are 1500 mm width.  Center chamber is 1250 mm width.
2. Each chamber has: Purification unit to decrease oxygen and water concentrations below 1ppm
3. Each chamber has: Regeneration unit for oxygen and water filters
4. Each chamber has: water analyzer 0-500 ppm
5. Each chamber has: Oxygen analyzer 1-1000 ppm
6. Each chamber has: Circulation blower
7. Each chamber has: automatic pressure control -15 + 15 mbar
8. Each chamber has: touch screen control unit
9. Each chamber has: Electronic control system for operation pressure
10. Each chamber has: Foot pedal control system for operation pressure
11. Each chamber has: stainless steel circulation pipework, 1 piece stand 1 meter height, bolted on side panels and moving castors, front window polycarbonate feedthroughs, lighting and main antechamber doors
12. 1500 mm width chambers have 3 port glove feedthroughs, 1250 mm width chamber has 2 glove port feedthroughs
13. Each chamber has rotary vane pump speed up 10 10CFM including oil mist filter and oil return kit
14. Each chamber has: 3 height adjustable shelves
15. Each Chamber has 1 electrical feedthrough and 4 flanges DN40

Each chamber has 2 pc HEPA dust filter (inlet/outlet)

1. Each chamber has box purging system operated by panal, flow rate max 200L/min
2. Flange mounting KF40 Recesessed conductors 25 pin 500V 5 amp rating per pin mounting on QF 50 flange
3. ALL chambers: Leak rate below 0.05 Vol%/h
4. Crating and shipping included
5. Installation included

Please take note that statement from solicitation: Quote is for product only; no on-site services permitted” is now removed. ONSITE INSTALLATION IS INCLUDED AS CALLED FOR IN TECHNICAL EVALUATION CRITERIA.

This Addendum modifies the Request for Quotation and must be acknowledged. Failure to acknowledge all addenda could make your proposal non-responsive.  Please confirm that the submitted proposal is not changed because of this addendum. If proposal sent is revised because of this, please submit the revised proposal.

The following changes are hereby made to the appropriate documents contained the above-mentioned Request for Quotation (RFQ). All other terms and conditions of the RFQ remain the same.

No mark ups mean that you accept SLAC Terms and Conditions.
