ONTARIO SD HIGH SCHOOLGYMNASIUM SEISMIC RETROFIT Bids Due 12:00 pm, May 3, 2024 INVITATION TO BIDCB Const, Inc., acting as the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) for the Ontario School District, will receive subcontractor bids for the Ontario High School Gymnasium Seismic Retrofit project, as follows: PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project scope includes seismic strengthening for the Ontario High School Gymnasium. The building consists of 18,500-square feet. The intent is to strengthen the building to an Immediate Occupancy seismic performance level. Seismic strengthening will likely consist of the following elements for the Ontario High School Gymnasium: Anchoring the mezzanine to the seismic-force resisting elements of the main structure, install out-of-plane anchorage at the diaphragms, install new hardware for transfer of seismic forces from the diaphragms to the shear walls, anchor the walls to the foundations, strengthening the existing concrete walls, brace the existing walls for out-of-plane loads, provide continuous cross ties between diaphragm chords, install new blocked plywood diaphragm at the roof. BID RECEIPT: Bids will be received by email directly to the CB Const, Inc until 12:00 p.m., local time, Friday, May 3, 2024. Email: [email protected]. CB Const, Inc intends to submit a bid on Demolition, Rough Carpentry, Metal Fabrication, Thermal Insulation, H.M. Doors/Frames/Hardware, and Specialties. Late bids will be rejected as non-responsive. PREBID MEETING: NON-MANDATORY An examination of the project and conditions for interested bidders will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., local time, Friday, April 19, 2024, at the project site located at 1115 W Idaho Ave. Ontario, OR 97914. Staging area will be in the main parking lot off Idaho Ave. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend to familiarize themselves with the project conditions.
