This notice does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to notify potential offerors that the 377th Mission Support Group Contracting Division (377 MSG/PK) intends to issue solicitation FA9401-25-B-0006. This announcement serves as the advance notice for this requirement. Responses to this synopsis are not required.
Description of Requirement: The primary purpose and objective of this project is to replace the existing 1600A switchboard breakers with new, like-for-like "draw-out" style breakers.
The Contractor is to replace “bolt-in” with “draw-out” style breaker. Contractor shall first validate the feasibility of retrofit of each 1600A breaker before completing any additional work with specific attention given to validate that MEP- 9 “Tie” breaker can also be retrofitted to “draw-out” style breaker.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. The size standard for this NAICS code is $19 million.
377 MSG/PK anticipates a firm-fixed price contract. The acquisition will follow procedures set forth in FAR Part 14 “Sealed Bidding”. Bidders must ensure compliance with all solicitation requirements, as non-compliance may lead to disqualification. As outlined by FAR 36.204, the anticipated magnitude for this effort is $500,000 and $1,000,000.
The solicitation, as well as all notices and amendments, will be posted to the Government Point of Entry located at https://sam.gov on or around 29 July 2025. The closing date, time for submission of offers, as well as the date and time for a site visit will be contained in the solicitation package. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this procurement for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. All notifications and amendments will be disseminated in the same manner as the solicitation.
