This amendment creates a Hybrid broad agency announcement allowing the Government to issue the solicitation of Calls.

This amendment serves as the annual notice of an Open BAA as required by FAR 35.016.  White papers are still being accepted against this BAA. Please see the initial BAA announcement for specific details on submitting white papers. This amendment updates the Government Contracting points of contacts for submitting white papers.

Air Force Research Laboratory Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies Division (AFRL/RXM) is soliciting white papers (and later technical and cost proposals, if requested) under this open 2-step broad agency announcement (BAA) to support the needs of its manufacturing and technology mission. Descriptors of manufacturing technology interests are presented in the context of manufacturing research and technology development approaches and their applicability to the Air Force high impact technology domains. This information can be found in the attached Statement of Objectives (Atch 5_Statement of Objectives - SOO). The mission of the Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies Division is to lead the Air Force in developing the required technologies to achieve these objectives now and in the future.  We will achieve our mission by performing research and development in Advanced Manufacturing technologies, specifically:  inventing the factory of the future; building up the digital manufacturing enterprise; and exploring additive manufacturing and other Advanced Manufacturing technologies.
