Town of Charlton, Massachusetts Sealed bids for the Maynard Sports Fields, 12 Dresser Hill Road, ADA Accessibility Improvements Project, for the Town of Charlton, Massachusetts, will be received at the Selectmen’s Office for the Charlton Board of Selectmen, 37 Main Street, Charlton, MA 01507 until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at which place and time said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work includes construction of paved ADA parking spaces, ADA pedestrian access to the existing sports field, with a field side viewing area, etc. The work shall include all incidental work including, but not necessarily limited to: clearing and grubbing, excavate and re-grade existing graveled parking, installation of drainage structures, paved pedestrian access to ADA compliant grades; relocate existing concession building and storage units; paving the ADA parking and access driveway; pedestrian access and field side viewing area; cast in place reinforced concrete curb at existing culvert crossing and provide steel beam guard rails at the existing culvert crossing; relocate an existing barrier gate to new location as shown on plans. All work as shown and detailed on the construction plans. The project value is estimated at $290,000. The contractor shall submit evidence of experience in similar type work and for project of similar value or more. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified treasurer’s check, bid bond or cash in the amount of 5 percent of the value of the bid. All bidders must have the minimum qualifications and experience as required by Contract Documents. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the existing Maynard Sports Fields facility at 12 Dresser Hill Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
