The City of Huntington Beach is seeking qualified providers to conduct pre-employment medical exams. The service providers must screen applicants and employees to properly evaluate and determine whether the physical capabilities and work-related safety requirements of the job, as well as the essential job functions, can be performed by an individual. Interested contractors must be familiar with requirements for Fire and Police Public Safety Personnel, such as the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) and National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) 1582 guidelines. The City intends to award one or more service agreements, but does not guarantee a specific number to be awarded. Additionally, the City does not guarantee a specific amount of work to successful bidders.
