The final project includes the installation of a 250 kW solar system on the roof of Moana Springs Community Aquatics and Fitness Center (Moana Springs), and associated energy-reducing measures. Moana Springs is a 52,000 square-foot facility located at 240 West Moana Lane, Reno, Nevada. This project is critical to the City to reduce the electrical demand and energy consumption at the Moana Springs facility. In addition, the solar energy system supports the City’s broader sustainability and climate action goals by decreasing reliance on grid-supplied electricity, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and demonstrating leadership in clean energy adoption in municipal operations.
