This project consists of the design and construction of critical infrastructure improvements at the Carbon Canyon Booster Pump Station No. 2 site located approximately 0.3 miles east of the Chino Hills State Park entrance along Carbon Canyon Road (State Route 142). The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following key elements: construction of a fire-resistant building enclosure; replacement of two existing vertical turbine water pumps and associated motors; installation of heavy-duty equipment access hatches, a City-furnished 175-kW diesel engine-driven emergency backup generator, a 400-amp electrical distribution panel, motor control center (MCC), a 400-amp utility meter cabinet, disconnect switch, a complete HVAC system and integrated building systems infrastructure; removal and reconfiguration of the existing perimeter fence to accommodate the new facility layout.
