The City of Issaquah, Washington is soliciting proposals from interested companies to assist the City of Issaquah in installing a maximum 64.2 kW DC, 60 kW AC roof mounted solar PV system at Pickering Barn. The City has a completed feasibility study to the 30% design level and which includes a power one-line diagram, helioscope solar model, concept plan, and solar PV panel, and inverter equipment basis of design specifications. Additionally, the City completed a stamped structural engineering analysis in May 2025. In partnership with the City of Issaquah, the selected company will complete 100% design, and install the final designed solar system and battery storage system at Pickering Barn. Funds for this project come from the Issaquah Sustainability Fund and Puget Sound Energy. The City anticipates applying for direct pay of federal solar tax credits for the system based on a balance of system costs established after project completion. This procurement is being conducted through an RFP process based on RCW 39.04.290 - Contracts for Building Engineering Systems.
