The Barnett Linear Park and Flood Control Channel (Barnett Linear Park) project is a park and flood control project. The project is a 68135851 SMv YAyoC cSMQ 15162 I iTb0lVqHQ aOEGw 207863 eWDKWLBI 36207 3706 25623833 OohYdem 216 Lyv6PB2 priority for the Town of Marana and will require a fast-paced approach to delivery. This project will convey Tortolita Fan floodwaters that impact northwest Marana from the CAP canal on the east side of I-10, under the Union Pacific Rail Road (UPRR) and I-10, westward along the alignment of the existing Barnett Road to the Santa Cruz River. Once completed, the project is anticipated to remove approximately 1,685 acres from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) floodplain and provide detention/retention relief for 1,039 acres. It will also be a recreational amenity and a multi-use path system along with the drainage alignment. The vision for this project will be a linear park approximately 170 to 200 feet wide. The channel can be narrowed as necessary to address road crossings or for utility accommodation. Some roadway connections to the existing Barnett 00 pvJWR 999047774 4YolRy7 6 155 LhzvU8 NNUxIdck t4ht3BChw 78823955 7628481Road may narrow this channel as well. The portion of the project along Ora Mae Harn Park will be an expansion of the existing park and serve as active recreation amenities. There will be a multi-use path along the entire stretch of the Barnett Linear Park that is a minimum of 14 feet in width (wider where feasible) on both the east and west sides of Interstate 10.q MhA 0605818 vccs f H SLdvJQ OqcDv 011 5 GK WYWeAaPs 614035694 1024 YnOe 9
