BIDS DUE: 11:00 AM, June 18, 2025 from pre-qualified contractors. PREBID CONFERENCE: A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held for the project on May 20, 2025 in Room 301 at the South Burlington City Hall, 180 Market Street, South Burlington, VT at 10:30 AM. SUMMARY: The project begins on US Route 2 (US 2/Williston RD) on the west side of the Interstate 89 (I-89) Exit 14 Interchange, continues alongside the I-89 southbound on-ramp, crosses I-89 approximately 900-ft south of the US 2 bridge, continues alongside the northbound off-ramp continuing east on US 2 and onto Dorset ST approximately 250 feet. Work to be performed under this project includes, but is not limited to, construction of a new shared use pathway and bridge over I-89 including construction of MSE walls, stormwater infrastructure, lighting, and landscaping. The Engineers Estimate falls between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000 (Category G). The Vermont Agency of Transportation 2024 Standard Specifications for Construction will govern. This project has federal funding. Davis Bacon wage rates, Build America Buy America requirements, and other federally mandated requirements apply. COMPLETION DATE: The contract will have a July 30, 2027, completion date. PREQUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS: All bidders must be pre-qualified under the appropriate work category by the VTrans Pre-Qualification Administrator for Construction Contracting. For this project, a current annual prequalification AND contract specific prequalification are necessary.
