It is the intention of Katy ISD to establish one or more contract(s) with highly qualified Vendor(s) for Special Populations Management System. Vendor(s) shall, at the request of Katy ISD, provide these products and/or covered services under the terms of this RFP. Katy ISD’s objectives in implementing a Special Populations Management System is to: • Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of district operations. • Implement a browser-based system to avoid the need to install client software on users PC. • Eliminate duplicate databases and decrease the number of “stand alone” systems. • Provide a date driven system that enables transaction to be entered before, on, or after the effective date of transaction. • Provide for efficient transfer of critical data to and from other information systems. • Utilize automated workflow process where feasible.
