Description of goods to services to be bid: November 17, 2020: The following changes have been made to PON 4371: Strategic Energy Management: 1. Removal of the Industrial Strategic Energy Management Cohort Training component 2. Renamed Self-serve SEM to SEM On Demand This New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Program Opportunity Notice (PON) 4371 seeks applications from facilities that are interested in adopting Strategic Energy Management (SEM) practices at their facilities. There are two (2) specific components to this PON. Applications will be accepted for the following: 1. SEM On Demand: is a remote-learning training program that features one-on-one technical support and guidance to facilitate the adoption of SEM. SEM On Demand helps facilities identify low and no cost ways to reduce their energy consumption in the short term, with strategies for maintaining the cost-reduction business practices long term. This program focuses on flexible, practical solutions for reducing energy costs within the recognizable framework of continuous improvement. 2. Virtual Treasure Hunts: use a virtual energy audit approach that leverages on-site staff, supported remotely by skilled energy auditors, to identify energy saving opportunities, prioritize findings, and calculate the potential savings. These virtual treasure hunts are available to 25 facilities, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The title of the solicitation has changed from Industrial Strategic Energy Management to Strategic Energy Management 2. The addition of virtual treasure hunts 3. The addition of self-serve SEM This New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Program Opportunity Notice (PON) 4371 seeks applications from facilities that are interested in adopting Strategic Energy Management practices at their facilities. There are three (3) specific components to this PON. Applications will be accepted for the following: 1. Industrial Strategic Energy Management Cohort Training: is a fully funded Strategic Energy Management (“SEM”) training program (the “Program”). By participating in the Program, the industrial facility will gain access to training, coaching, and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing to continuously enhance energy efficiency at their facilities. Participation will be offered to industrial sites with an annual energy spend of $500,000 or more (all fuels). Participants must be willing to share results and lessons learned to further the program’s objective of increasing the penetration of Strategic Energy Management at industrial facilities. Participants in this component go through will complete the training as a cohort. As such, there will be annual close dates for entry into each cohort. Virtual Treasure Hunts: use a virtual energy audit approach that leverages on-site staff supported remotely by skilled energy auditors, to identify energy saving opportunities, prioritize findings, and calculate the potential savings. Self-Serve Strategic Energy Management: is a self-guided and self-paced alternative to the cohort training. This program uses the United States Department of Energy’s 50001 Ready Navigator platform as the backbone of the training, with additional targeted technical support and guidance, resources, and materials. In addition, Energy Champions must have the ability to travel to cohort meetings to receive the SEM trainings.
