The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration (NCA) intends to issue solicitation number 36C78625B0037 entitled, In Ground Cremains Cemetery Expansion at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on or about June 30, 2025, unless additional notice is given, or this notice is modified or cancelled. Scope of Work: The construction contractor shall provide all labor, management, materials, tools, equipment, and services necessary to construct project number 915CM3010 per the Statement of Work, Specifications, Drawings, and related construction documents. Construction will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421-5300. Work includes but is not limited to the following: The scope of this project will provide the Gravesite of cemetery expansion and develop approximately 1.6 acres of land to provide 2,125 IGC. The Master Plan has been developed for the expansion area in accordance with the interment quantities identified in the scope of work and current burial projections as relayed by Midwest District (NCA). All burial sections follow existing cemetery design standards and are accessible for all visitors. Gravesites will face the loop road. Major scope items include offsite import of compactable soils, pylon Section Markers with Sign Panel will be installed, and new irrigation system will connect to the existing mainline and two-wire decoder cable installed in the Phase 3 construction, and miscellaneous other work as described in the Scope of Work (SOW), specification, drawings, and related construction documents to be issued. All services performed by the contractor must adhere to National Cemetery Administration standards. Period of Performance The Contractor shall complete all work including submittals, reviews, quality control, repair/construction services, punch list corrections, clean up, invoicing and closeouts documentation submittal within three hundred and sixty-five (365) calendar days from Government issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
