PRESOLICITATION NOTICE This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation for a construction project Project 539-23-202 Replace Damaged Flooring It is the intention of the CINCINNATI VAMC to solicit bids for the following: The Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, material, permits, labor, and supervision required to completely perform the required construction work for the Upgrade Elevators Project, including prepare site for building operations including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work, and certain other items shown and specified in project drawings and specifications. This construction project will replace carpet and other flooring throughout the hospital that has been damaged by water and other environmental factors. Some of the rooms are unable to be occupied due to the moisture and mold that has settled on and under the flooring. The goal of the hospital is to remove all the carpet left in the hospital. This project will also remove isolated toilets in some rooms where they need to be removed and are possibly the source of any water damage. This work includes general construction, electrical, technology, and may include abatement, etc. The above construction Statement Of Work (SOW) constitutes a basic outline of work and in no way outlines all of the details for the construction of this project. It is recommended that a detailed inspection of the premises, drawings and specification be initiated to determine the needs and conditions for the construction of this project. Period of Performance: All phases of work completed within TBD days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial & Institutional Building Construction. Contractors with a standard size of $45M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA will issue an IFB on or about 2 December 2023 via www.sam.gov . A site visit will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, and the date, time and location will be posted in the solicitation.
