The Technology Applications Office intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302(1) to Corning Cable Systems LLC, 800 17th Street Nw, PO Box 489, Hickory, NC 28601-3336 as a brand name requirement. The propo sed contract action is to purchase the following: 20,000 feet (FT) of 48-fiber hybrid ALTOS FREEDM loose tube gel-free cable, riser rated, dielectric central member, 12 fiber per buffer tube, 36-single-mod, 12-62,5/125um; 9,000 FT 214-fiber hybrid MIC cab le, riser rated, 12-single-mode, 12-62.5/125um; 6,000 FT 2 fiber, single-mode riser rated Zipcord cable; 6,000 FT 2 fiber, 62.5um multimode riser rated Zipcord cable; 1,500 EA, part number 95-000-51 UniCam, ST Connector, Multimode 62,.5um, Ceramic Ferrule; 3,000 EA, Part Number 95-200-41 UniCam SC Connector, Single-mode, Ceramic Ferrule, Super Physical Contact Polish; 175 EA, Part Number FAN-BT25-12, Buffer Tube Fan-Out Kit for 3.0 mm buffer tubes with up to 12 fibers per buffer tube; includes 25 inches of tubing; 30 EA Part Number CCH-04U, Closet Connector Housing, 4U, that will accept 12 LANscape adapter panels; 23 EA Part Number CCH-WALLMNT-KIT, Bracket Kit for Wall Mounting CCH Housing 6U of space; 50 EA Part Number WCH-02P, Wall Mountable Closet Housing F/2 CCH panels; 300 EA Part Number CCH-CP12-59 12-fiber CCH panel equipped with six single-mode SC Duplex adapters with ceramic inserts; and 175 EA Part Number CCH-CP12-15T 12-fiber CCH panel equipped with twelve Threaded ST multimode adapters with cerami c inserts. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
