The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, HOP Braodcasting, Hopkinsville, KY 42240. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 ©(1) as implemente d by FAR 6.302-1.under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), for the lease of Tower Space in Hopkinsville, KY previously installed by HOP Broadcasting and currently located at Hopkinsville, KY. Restricting competition is based on this companys design and ins tallation of the original systems and the duplicative cost to the Government to utilize another source to satisfy the Governments requirement. The NAICS code for this is 811213 and the small business size standard is $6,500,000.00. This sole source requi rement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition and awarded on an unrestricted basis. This is not a request for competitive offers and solicitation will not be issued; however any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with th e requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. See numbered note 22. I f no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with HOP BRAODCASTING. Requirement consists of Tower Space Rental in Hopkinsville, KY, at a minimum of 300 feet to support the Blanchfiled Army Community Hospital Pa ging System. The building, which cannot be a residence, at tower location will house Government furnished equipment (GFE), receiver and transmitter, and must be accessible without any delay, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to Government contracted technici an or government employee to work on equipment. Building must be properly heated and cooled for GFE and also maintained properly on the outside and free of debris for the period of base period of 01 October 2007 through 30 September 2008; and 4 option ye ar periods (effective 01 Oct 08-30 Sep 09, 01 Oct 09-30 Sep 10, 01 Oct 10-30 Sep 11, 01 Oct 11-30 Sep 2012 per FAR 52.217-9 OPTION TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT) Interested companies may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requir ement not later than 20 August 2007.
