The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Greer Communications, Clarksville, TN 37043. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.SC 2304 (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1.under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), for Zetron paging equipment support for existing Zetron Paging Equipment previously installed by Greer Communications and currently located at Fort Campbell, KY. Restricting competition is based on this companys design and installation of the original systems and the duplicative cost to the Government to utilize another source to satisfy the Governments requirement. The NAICS code for this is 811213 and the small business size standard is $7,000,000.00. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition and awarded on an unrestricted basis. This is not a request for competitive offers and solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 14 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government.
