Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army RDECOM Acquisition Center- Natick; Natick, MA 01760, intends award a Purchase Order for $99,980.60 to Springfield LLC, located at 30 Jericho Executive Plaza, Jericho NY 11753. This Purchase Order is for printing of plain weave aramid blend (92% Nomex/5% Kevlar/3%P-140) fabric conforming to type II, class 5 requirements of MIL-C- 83429B dated May 26,1993  except that the fabric shall be printed in the universal camouflage pattern and printing of oxford weave aramid blend (92% Nomex/5% Kevlar/3%P-140) fabric conforming to class 3 of MIL-C-43842C, dated 11 June 1992. Springfield LLC is currently printing the Army woodland pattern on aramid blend fabrics. They have a production print line in operation, have the testing equipment to assure that the fabric meets all the specification requirements, have the technical personnel to print the fabric and can conduct the testing required. There is a requirement to have it delivered by November 15, 2004 in order to support pend ing fabrication of Air Warrior and Combat Vehicle crewmen (aviation and tanker) uniforms for use in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
