The Bureau of Land Management, Palm Springs-South Coast Field Office has a requirement to implement the Potrero SKR habitat Improvement Project by modification of the vegetation which involves using prescribed fir, grazing, and clearing of vegetation by hand using tools and mechanical equipment such as string trimmers, chainsaws, and mowers, and the use of herbicide on up to 1230 acres of BLM managed land. This modification of the vegetation will improve the Stephens kangaroo Rats (Dipodomys Stephensi) habitat. This acquisition is reserved for exclusively for 8a contractors under NAICS: 561730.
