The United States Army Joint Munitions Command, located in Rock Island, Illinois, is hosting an Industry Day to solicit feedback regarding the US Governments anticipated offering to compete the Radford Army Ammunition Plant, a Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated (GOCO) facility, co-located in Radford and Dublin, Virginia.
The Industry Day will be held from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm (noon) to present the preliminary plan for the competition effort. In addition, the afternoon has been reserved for pre-scheduled one-on-one sessions. The purpose of the one-on-one sessions is to allow Industry to ask the Government specific corporate questions. One-on-one sessions will be scheduled for 1 hour, on a first-come, first-serve basis, and will be conducted in a break-out conference area, separate from the main presentation/conference area. While subsequent questions may come up, we request that all questions be submitted in writing at the one on one session or by email (if not scheduling a one on one).
Industry Day will be held at the Isle of Capri in Bettendorf, Iowa on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2009. Bettendorf is a 15-minute drive from the Moline, Illinois, Quad City International Airport. The Isle of Capri is easily accessible from Interstate 74 and Interstate 80. (There is limited taxi service available in the Moline/Rock Island/Davenport/Bettendorf area). Rental cars or privately owned vehicles are strongly encouraged. Hotel rooms may be reserved for out of town attendees by contacting the Isle of Capri directly at 563-359-7280. All attendees must register prior to the date of the conference by emailing their name, company, job title, e-mail address, and if desired, request for a one-on-one breakout session to: [email protected] at least 24 hours prior to the start of the conference. Please limit attendees to 5 per company.
