THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101 (a) (1), requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. The National Park Service, Santa Fe Major Acquisition Buying Office intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Daniels Electronics Ltd. Doing business as Codan Radio Communications Big Bend National Park is replacing components of their current repeaters that are Daniels brand. Maintaining a single repeater radio line ensures rapid programming and repairs. Each different brand required additional learning and can reduce the ability for timely responses to users. Single programming codeplugs ensure full interoperability. Authority for this award is 10 USC 2304 , FAR 6.302-2 Unusual and Compelling Urgency, 6.302-2 (b)(1) urgency precludes full and open competition and 6.302-2 (b)(2) Delay would result in serious injury (financial or other). The justification for other than full and open competition for this award will be provided upon request.
