Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 it is the Governmnent's intent to award a sole source purchase to Biolog Inc., 21124 Cabot Blvd,Hayward, CA for the purchase of Retrofit Upgrade to the OmniLog System to run Phenotype MicroArray Panels. This servic e is to be performed on an OmniLog System purchased from Biolog Inc. last year. Incubation and recording of the phenotypic data can be performed only on the existing system manufactured by Biolog Inc. Biolog is the sole manufacturer of this system and th e associated proprietary consumable items. Biolog is the only authorized distributor and supplier of the OmniLog system and the Phenotype MicroArray upgrade in the U.S. and Canada. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Req uest for Quotation or notice. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no aff irmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract price based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
