The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Standard Industrial Corp, Clarksdale, MS 38614. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S C 2304 ©(1) as implem ented by FAR 6.302-1.under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), for CLIN 0001 PN 450569 Rubber Pad  QTY 1, CLIN 0002 PN 450570 BOLSTER PLATE  QTY 1, CLIN 0003 PN 005400 Rubber pad for pn 450569  QTY 1, CLIN 0004 Pattern charge for rubber pad for existing Standard Industrial Model AP300 four column press previously installed by Standard Industrial Corp and currently located at Fort Campbell, KY. Restricting competition is based on this companys design and installation of the original systems and the dupli cative cost to the Government to utilize another source to satisfy the Governments requirement. The NAICS code for this is 333513 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquis ition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition and awarded on an unrestricted basis. This is not a request for competitive offers and solicitation will not be issued; however any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 14 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. See numbered note 22. If no responses are received, the Government wil l proceed with the sole source negotiation with Standard Industrial Corp. Interested companies may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement not later than 22 September 2005.
