THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This is a Sources Sought/Market Research announcement and is for information purposes only. The US Army Sustainment Command (ASC) is requesting information and the availability for the following ammunition: AK-47 Assault Rifle Ball ammo 7.62x39 mm, 122 grain FMJ, Brass Casing and Galil Assault Rifle Ball ammo 5.56x45mm, 50 grain FMJ, Brass Casing. Materiel may be produced under NATO spec, Warsaw Pact spec and/or commercial equivalent. Active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database is mandatory. Commercial vendors capable of providing this ammunition are encouraged to respond. Interested companies should respond by providing the government the following information: company name, corpora te background with business size and type, points of contact, and a brief statement of capabilities. This is a market survey for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or as an obligation on the pa rt of the government. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. Funds are not presently available for an acquisition. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary . The government will utilize the information provided only to develop the acquisition strategy for future requirements.
