NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to sole source a firm-fixed price contract to Advanced Simulation Technology Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for the services of replacement of equipment and software for the existing ASTI DACS based solution with ASTIs new T4 equipment and software. ASTI is the sole provider of the Telestra 4 communication system.

This is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive (i.e., non-brand name) procurement. Third part firms will be considered only if responding with clear and convincing evidence that the firm has been granted rights to provide the services being procured. The determination to open competition based on responses is solely with in the discretion of the Government. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published.
The Government will not award a contract based on the information received, nor reimburse participants for information they provide. Information provided is strictly voluntary. Responses to this notice must be in writing and must be received by 1:00pm CST on August 20, 2008.
