NA TACOM proposes to award a sole source contract to United Defense Limited Partnership (UDLP) for Bradley A3 Vehicle heat shields. These heat shields will be incorporated into the existing A3 multiyear production contract, DAAE07-01-C-M016. Fielding of the A3 LRIP vehicles under this contract will begin in September 2002. Due to the safety benefits derived from these shields, it is imperative that they be incorporated into the current contract baseline as soon as possible in order to support the September 2002 fielding. The total estimated value of this procurement is $495,496.86. It is planned to award a fixed price contract for this requirement.
