The PA Commonwealth for PA State Police stating in 2022, a photo identification card will be issued to each currently certified police officer, and to each new police officer upon certification and employment with a police department. Identification cards will be reissued as needed and can be requested by their employing department. Issuance of the new card is directed by MPOETC (Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission) policy.
