On behalf of the PEO Soldier, the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, Center for Contracting and Commerce, Picatinny, NJ in conjunction with PM Soldier-Weapons intends to negotiate and award a contract modification to Alliant Techsystems Integrated, Plymouth, MN under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(1)(ii). This procurement is for the additional work to facilitate a smooth transition from the PDRR to SDD phase on XM25 Air Burst Weapons System under the exisiting contract DAAE30-00-C-1065. ATK has developed the 25mm Air Burst Weapon System for the Program Definition & Risk Reduction (PDRR) Phase of the program and further development of the Air Burst Weapon System will be conducted during the System Development and Demonstration (SDD) phase to begin in FY06.
