QTY (4)Artillery bore cleaning kits capable of properly cleaning the M7776 cannon tube on the M777A2 Howitzer and the M284A1 cannon tube on the M109A6 Howitzer. The cleaning kit must be able to clean the cannon tube without damaging or corroding the interior of the tube. Currently, the available bore cleaning system (1025-01-196-2176) available through the Standard Army Retail Supply System requires eight (8) personnel, a total of 24 man hours over the course of three days, due to the need to allow the tube to dry for a day after each cleaning, in order to clean it to operational specifications. THE CURRENT REQUIREMENT IS FOR a cleaning kit capable of cleaning both cannon tubes to operational specifications with no more than four (4) personnel and four (4) man hours in one day.
New Equipment ONLY; NO remanufactured or "gray market" items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
