The US Army TACOM Picatinny Center for Contracting and Commerce intends to award, on a sole source basis to Talley Defense Systems, Mesa, Arizona, a contract for product improvement of a confined space version of the 83mm Bunker Defeat Munition (BDM). Talley is the current producer of the BDM. The current BDM will be modified to allow a soldier to safely fire the weapon from an enclosure while maintaining existing performance requirements. The Phase I effort will culminate in a critical design review to be followed by a rigorous qualification and test program (Phase II). Additionally, test hardware will be delivered for the system test and evaluation.
