This announcement will be used as a sources sought/market research tool. The government is in the position to research commercially available engineering technical services in support of the M2A3/M3A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle System (BFVS) Configura tion Management/Embedded Diagnostic system (CM/ED) for possible future acquisitions. CM/ED is a digital diagnostic system that detects, reports, and communicates critical component-level fault information and provides a video distribution and display capability to the Bradley Crew. A general description of services required in support of this system is as follows: CM/ED system software and hardware require regular updates in coordination with BFVS vehicle software updates. These updates are required in order to correct faults in the system, or to maintain compatibility with other subsyst ems within the BFVS. The CM/ED program requires integrated logistic support to include updates of Technical, Provisioning, and Training Source Data to the Government and the BFVS Integrator. The Government owns Technical Data rights to the CM/ED Program, and as such will require the service provider to perform configuration management of the CM/ED program while performing the above listed services. Resulting updates must be submitted to the Government for approval, and approved technical data will be del ivered to the Government. The purpose of this notice is to identify and establish initial interest and points of contact from private industry. This information may be used to design acquisition strategy to include socioeconomic program support. It may also help to identify and e stablish commercial practices available to the Government. Upon receipt and analysis of information, potential vendors may be contacted for possible appointments for further research and exploration. No solicitation will be issued at this time. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the U.S. Government.
