Giraffe Bedded Warmer; General Item Description:Radiant warming units designed to provide thermal stability to infants while allowing direct observation. Units can be operated either with the heating elements turning on and off according to the changes in the infant's skin temperature (automated mode) or by setting the heater at a constant power level for a set period of time (manual mode). These units are available in several different configurations, including freestanding and mounted on an integral bassinet to facilitate continuous thermal support for newborns and critically ill infants; they are also used for infants undergoing long treatment in a cool environment.

INSTRUCTIONS TO VENDORS

The following paragraphs are hereby amended:

Para (a) Does not apply to this RFQ.

Para (b) Replace subparagraph (4) with the following:
(4) Technical Factor. The vendor must explain how you will comply with the requirements in the request for quote by submitting a written quote which describes:
Salient Characteristics Standard - - Acceptable - - Unacceptable
1. Offered System must provide un-interrupted thermal support
2. Offered System must provide integrated resuscitation capability.
3. Offered System must provide integrated SpO2 capability with Masimo SET Technology.
4. Offered System must have integrated in-bed scale with weight range from 300g to 8 kg (0.66 lbs to 17.6 lbs)
5. Offered System must be 220V/50Hz.
6. Offered System must provide aimable procedure light and built-in dimmable observation lights.
Failure to receive an acceptable rating of any of the 6 technical factors will result in an unacceptable technical rating unless the error(s), deficiency (ies) or omission (s) can be corrected.
All CLINs shall be priced. If you fail to price all CLINs, your quote will not be considered for award.
Para (c) Change 30 to 60.
