Notice of Intent to Award The National Park Service, Pacific West Region - Point Reyes National Seashore, intends to award a sole source procurement action to Aardvark Tactical Inc., 1935 Puddingstone Drive, La Verne CA 91750, for Taser International X-2 and accessories to support law enforcement personnel at Point Reyes National Seashore, located in Marin County, California. This supply purchase is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures soliciting from a single source authorized by FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1). The anticipated award date is August 25, 2014. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335999, All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing. Taser International products are the only approved Electronic Control Device for National Park Service law enforcement personnel, per the Law Enforcement Reference Manual (RM-9). The primary and sole source distributer for TASER International products is Aardvark Tactical Inc. The proposed contract action covers supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement; however this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Inquiries received within five (5) days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
