THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Services (ARS), Human Nutrition Research Center (HRNC) located in Beltsville, MD intends to issue a firm-fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR Part 13.106 under simplified acquisition procedures to Agilent Technologies located in Wilmington, DE. for the following item: 1290 uHPLC System with ELSD detector (refurbished). This procurement  is being issued under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (b)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516;small business size standard is 1,000 employees.  The government will consider all responsible sources received by the due date. Written responses must contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the requirement.
