The purpose of this amendment is to change the Option Year 1 through Option Year 4 quantities. Point of Contact information has changed from Renee Prendergast to Wendy Lopez. The U.S. Army Joint Munitions and Lethality Life Cycle Management Command JM&L LCMC), Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source contract to ARMTEC Defense Products, Co., under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A). The anticipated effort is for the fabrication of the Modular Artillery Charge System (MACS) Combustible Cases under a Firm Fixed Priced five-year multi-year contract inclusive of one production year with options for each of the five production years. The anticipated effort is expected to cover the following quantities of M231/M232A1 MACS Combustible Cases for the base years and options: Base Year quantities for the multi-year are 435K for FY08, 320K for FY09, 220K for FY10, 220K for FY11, and 220K for FY12; Option Year 1 quantities up to 782,000; Option Year 2 quantities up to 912,000; Option Year 3 quantities up to 761,251; Option Year 4 quantities up to 923,000, and Option Year 5 quantities up to 676,442. MACS meets the Armyýýýs requirements for 155mm artillery propelling charges to be used in all the existing 155mm artillery weapon systems and is designed for use with automated handling equipment incorporated in the future Non-Line-Of-Sight Cannon (NLOS-C) weapon system.
