The U.S. Army TACOM/ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ intends to issue a solicitation for delivery of 60mm M769 (NSN 1310-01-482-1257) and 81mm M879 (NSN 1315-01-352-0392) Full Range Practice Mortar Cartridges. The effort will involve assembly of government furnished shell bodies, fuzes, fins, propelling charges, and ignition cartridges. The basic contract is contemplated to be for a quantity of 10,000 each M769 cartridges and 65,000 M879 cartridges with a potential of four option year requirements included. The contractor will be required to have a clearance to handle material with various hazard classifications (i.e 1.2C-1.3G). Solicitation will be available @ http://procnet.pica.army.mil on or about 16 December 2005.
