AMCOM plans to issue Draft RFP W31P4Q-07-R-0214 on or about 16 Nov 07. Responses to the Draft RFP should be submitted not later than 3 Dec 07. Issuance of Draft RFP W31P4Q-07-R-0214 anticipates AMCOM requirements for the demilitarization (demil) an d disposal of approximately 4,002 MLRS M26(H104) Rocket Pod Containers (RPCs), rockets, and components during the basic contract award year, with yearly contract range options for up to 89,016 over the next 5 years. AMCOM is seeking industry responses tha t use processes, equipment and facilities that do not require research and development and/or facilitization and is planning to host an open Industry Day in Huntsville, AL on 12 Dec 07 for all interested parties. Details concerning Industry Day will be in cluded in Draft RFP W31P4Q-07-R-0214. Responses, comments, or questions in response to Draft RFP W31P4Q-07-R-0214 may be submitted by any entity including commercial firms, institutions of higher education with degree-granting programs in science and/or engineering (universities), or by consor tia led by such concerns.
