SOURCES SOUGHT: The US Army Joint Munitions & Lethality Life Cycle Management Command (JM&L LCMC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is contemplating the issuance of a Solicitation for Reactive Applique Armor Tiles for the Assault Breacher Vehicle (ABV). The tiles must be capable of protecting the ABV against the anti- tank guided missile class threats, and must not be vulnerable to burning or detonation from small arms fire. The tiles must also meet ABV Weight constraints and it must fit the armor attachment provisions currently in place on the ABV. This requirement shall be solicited on a firm-fixed-price basis. The contemplated quantity for FY07 is approximately 1,584 M6A1 tiles. These tiles must be qualified per performance specification MIL-PRF-70773 which has been classified SECRET. After issuance of the Solicitation, all respondents must have a minimum SECRET clearance to gain access to this information.
