The Precision Fires Rocket and Missile System Project Office (PFRMS) has a requirement for a new Bunker Storage Services contract which includes inspection, storage and removal/transportation of Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) rocket pods, rocket pod containers, rocket motors, motor boxes, warheads, fin restraints, igniters, fuses, grenades, and other miscellaneous ancillary parts associated with the reuse of rocket pods to support Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System/Low Cost Reduced Range Practice Rocket (GMLRS/LCRRPR) production activities. The period of performance is estimated at 60 months from contract award.
Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this requirement is restricted to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control (LMMFC), CAGE Code 64059, Grand Prairie, TX. LMMFC is the designer, developer, producer, and prime contractor of the MLRS and as such, is the only source having the experience and expertise to accomplish this requirement.
