The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award firm fixed price contracts to McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC), a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company for the procurement of approximately one hundred-fifty (150) All-Up-Round Harpoon missiles together with their related supplies and services necessary for their manufacture and deployment for various Foreign Military Sales countries. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC) is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer and integrator of the Harpoon weapon system and its related equipment. MDC alone has the experience, special skills, proprietary technical documentation, software/algorithms, facilities and manufacturing techniques required to produce, assemble and integrate this equipment and furnish the supplies and services within the required timeframe.
