Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to contract with General Dynamics Corporation for engineering services in support of the TRIDENT Fire Control Subsystem Training. This will be a 1 year effort commencing on 01 December 2003 through 30 November 2004 with an additional one-year option for the period 01 December 2004 thought 30 November 2005. This contract also includes Attack Weapon Training System (AWTS) Trainer design and planning for which deliveries must be made by 30 April 2004. There are additional options for AWTS site support at the TRIDENT Training Facilities in Kings Bay, GA and Bangor, WA, with a period of performance of 2 April 2005-15 January 2006; AWTS multi-media instruction for which all deliveries must be made by 30 January 2006; Missile Compartment Trainer Tube Equipment Virtual Simulation design for the AWTS trainer laboratories for delivery must be made by 31 December 2004; and Launcher Control System Trainer Unique Software design for which deliveries are to be completed by 30 April 2004. General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems designed, manufactured, and produced SWS Fire Control Subsystem equipment as well as the current Fire Control Systems Personnel Training program. GDAIS is also the design agent for the Attack Weapon Control System, which is integrated into a variant of the current SWS Fire Control System. GDAIS is thus the only source with the in-depth knowledge and in-place capability to perform the required effort. No solicitation package is available. See Note 22.*****
