This effort will include a base effort with options. Major tasks include upgrade of the TRIDENT training-unique four tube cluster launcher equipment for the Weapons Training System (WTS) at the TRIDENT Training Facility (TTF), Bangor, Washington, to D5 Backfit. This effort includes D5 Backfit kit equipment, design, coordination, procurement, manufacture, documentation, delivery, installation and test. Tasks of the effort also include necessary services and materials to furnish a TRIDENT training-unique launcher equipment long lead item list for the WTS at the TTF. Option effort includes updates and completion of tasks included in base effort and development of Part Task Trainer MOD 6 Conversion Analysis. Award will be made using other than full and open competition to Northrop Grumman, Sunnyvale, CA, the only known source with unique expertise required for this effort. See Note 22.
